It’s appropriate that the final leg of the 2008 Mazda MTN National Mountain Bike Series will take place in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal, on Sunday 9 November.

KwaZulu-Natal is widely regarded as the heart of mountain biking in the country and more than a thousand enthusiastic recreational mountain bikers are expected to line-up alongside most of the country’s top professionals at the Mazda MTN 50 Miler, at Grace College, in Hilton.

The pros will be doing battle for the final top positions in the country’s most prestigious cycling series, while the rest will be out for a fun, challenging ride through some of the most prime mountain biking terrain in the country.

The full marathon distance event is 78km while Ferdevco National Half-Marathon race is over 37km. There is also the Aquelle 21km fun ride and the Grace College kid’s 5km ride.

Online entry can still be done at www.entrytime.com until 6 November, but late entries will be taken at registration at Grace College on Saturday 8 November from 15h00–17h00 and on Sunday 9 November from 06h30–0815.
